It's been a long day, with so many new experiences, people to meet, places to explore, and very little sleep. My head is reeling from it all, so I'll post some pictures for you.
The English countryside
British exit sign, apparently
Lovely cobblestone shopping district only a couple minutes walk from OM
Please pray that I would get proper sleep tonight and that I would adjust and settle in quickly and easily.
The shopping district has a mall in addition to the streets of outdoor stores. I found a place called ASDA, which looks similar to Walmart or Target or some other big store. I also discovered the 99p Store and Poundplace, which are both British equivalents of a dollar store. I went into the 99p Store to look around and it looks like a decent place. Oddly enough, it had a selection of basic camping equipment. There is also a Salavation Army and a couple other places that look like they might be thrift stores. The bottom picture, which would not let me include a caption for some reason, is of an old church nearby. It rings the bell to keep time, sounding just like a grandfather clock.
Did you check out what is sold in the shopping district? Is it anything reasonably priced and useful?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the bottom picture, besides a cool looking spire?
